KIMBALL '73 REUNION - Extra Activities
Additional events we're working on:
If you can still play 18 holes of golf in one day and want to play during our reunion weekend,
Bobby Mims has organized a tournament for Friday, April 28th. You don't have to be a '73 graduate to play, and you are able to bring friends or graduates from other classes. Click here to sign up. For more information, contact Bobby at sunsetgolfdfw@yahoo.com |
NON-GOLFERS: If you’ll be in town early on Friday, you probably can’t check into your
hotel room until after lunch, so you’ll need a place to chill for a while. We’ve got you covered. Join us for a delicious burger at Jake's Burgers & Beer anytime between 11 am and 2 pm. DATE: Friday, April 28 VENUE: Jake’s Burgers & Beer, 14920 Midway Rd, Addison, TX TIME: “Come & Go” from 11 am to 2 pm (yes, it’s early; after all, we are seniors) COST: “Dutch Treat” This restaurant is just two miles from the DoubleTree hotel where our event takes place, and we have reserved a section of their dining room for our group. Let us know you’re coming so we’ll be sure to have enough room. RSVP here. |
JUST ADDED! If you’re in town early or just want to meet up with some of your classmates,
join us Thursday for a Pre-Reunion Happy Hour at 3 Nations Brewing Co. Thursday, April 27th 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. 3 Nations Brewing, 1033 E. Vandergriff Dr., Carrollton, TX, 75006 Here's more information about 3 Nations Brewing: It has a large, covered seating area, as well as an open-air Biergarten in back. We plan to have several picnic tables reserved for us in the Biergarten. This will be a very informal Dutch Treat pre-reunion gathering. 3 Nations brews its own beer and has a nice menu, with other drinks, non-alcoholic beverages, street tacos, quesadillas, burgers and dogs, fries and nachos. However, if you wish, several other restaurants are within walking distance. You can eat at the brewery or come for just happy hour and then move on to another restaurant* for dinner. Check out the 3 Nations website for their menu and directions. Also, this venue is dog friendly. *Other options for dinner nearby: Babe’s Chicken Dinner House • Joe’s NY Style Pizza at Amici’s • Beth Marie’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor • Cane Rosso (Pizza) • Twisted Root Burger Co. • El Rincon Mexican Restaurant |
